Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a wheel mounting gas sensor suitable for oxygen density detection of unbalanced exhaustion gas by laminating the first projection layer, and an oxide catalyst layer and the second protection layer on the tested gas-side electrode of an oxygen sensor using a solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In the sensor for oxygen density detection in wheel exhaustion gas which is formed sticking the first electrode 2 and the second electrode 3 to the inside face and the outside face of tube-shaped solid electrolyte 1 which has one end closed respectively, the first protection layer 4 of hole diameter 0.1 to 10mu and thickness 20 to 200mu which consists of heatproof oxide material particles such as MgO-Al2O3 and Al2O3 is provided on the second electrode 3, and catalyst layer 5 of thickness 0.5 to 100mu which consists of Pt, Rd, Pd, etc., is laminated on layer 4, and further, the second protectionlayer 6 of hole diameter 1 to 5mu and thickness 5 to 100mu which consists of heat-proof materials such as Al2O3 and MgO-Al2O3 is provided on layer 5.
