Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a gas burner, wherein part of energy of gas is used to obtain electric power for a control circuit, so that the need for periodical replacement of dry batteries will be obviated. CONSTITUTION:When gas has been ignited by operating a cock and igniter, an electric power switch 9 is closed, and a battery voltage is loaded to a temperature detecting circuit through a resistance 22 to energize it. At the same time an oscillation comparator 23 starts its oscillation to cause FET's 20, 21 synchronously ON- OFF operations. When a direct current voltage has been generated at a thermocouple 19 by flames it is chopped by the FET 21 which does ON-OFF operations synchronously with the oscillator and then is loaded to a primary coil of a transformer 32. Thus a boosted and chopped voltage will be obtained at the secondary coil and will be charged into a condenser 33 through the FET 20 which does ON- OFF operations synchronously.
