Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic forming device wherein a high frequency is generated by on-off switching control of a high frequency switch, thereby to make the device compact in size and light in weight.
CONSTITUTION: A switch 3 generates a high frequency by on-off switching the DC output of a rectifier 2, and further acts as a power source switch. When a capacitor 7 is charged up to a reference voltage 9 by a deviation amplifier 8. The output of an A-F converter 10 becomes zero, and generation of a monostable multivibrator 11 is stopped, a driver 4 is stopped and the switch 3 is turned on. The predetermined charge voltage of the dapacitor 7 is adjusted and controlled with high response and high accuracy. When the capacitor 7 is charged to a predetermined voltage, a switch 14 is operated to start the ignitron of the starting switch. The capacitor 7 discharges elctricity to an electromagnetic coil 12 and supplies an impulsive current thereto, and an electromagnetic force is acted on the material to be formed, thus the material being formed.
