Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve response to voltage fluctuation in high speed with stable operation, by controlling a switching element in on/off switching operation in high speed and keeping a charging voltage to a pulse forming circuit, in a pulse modulator used for radars. CONSTITUTION:An input power is rectified 2, smoothed at a choke coil 3 and a capacitor 4, and converted into direct current. A high frequency charging trigger voltage is controlled at a gate circuit 16, transistor-driven 12, applied to two sets of transistors (TR) 13 via a pulse transformer 18, converted into a high frequency AC current, applied to a high frequency transformer 14, and the output is charged to a pulse forming circuit 9 through a hold-off diode 7. The charging voltage of the circuit 9 is monitored via a potential divider, compared 15, a signal is produced at a specified level, this is applied to the circuit 16, the charging trigger is turned off to stop the charging.
