Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of power conversion, by quickening the action of the switching transistor of an oscillator to reduce the switching loss.
CONSTITUTION: A switching regulator comprises a blocking oscillation circuit 1 which intermits a DC voltage to drive a transformer, a rectification circuit 2 for rectifying the AC output voltage of the transformer, a differential amplification circuit 3 which compares the DC output voltage of the rectification circuit 2 with a reference voltage ER1 to produce an output corresponding to the difference, a charging circuit 5 which changes a capacitor charging current depending on the output of the differential amplification circuit 3, and a control circuit 4 which supplies the base of the switching transistor Q1 with a trigger signal which turns off the transistor only when the output of the charging circuit 5 exceeds a reference voltage ER2. thus, the base current of the switching transistor Q1 of the oscillator 1 thus be quickly removed. This results in quickening the switching action of the transistor Q1.
