Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to provide air inlet ports without affecting the outer appearance adversely, by forming air intake chambers with check valves downwardly of the crank case, and connecting these air intake chambers to respective air inlet ports fixed to the outer pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust pipe 2 connected to exhaust port 5 is arranged in a double -wall structure consisting of outer pipe 2a and inner pipe 2b. The outer pipe 2a is provided with an air inlet port 12 at a portion thereof a little spaced from exhaust port 5 and air outlet ports 11 at portions thereof near the exhaust port 5. Further, air intake chambers 17 having respective check valves 16 are provided downardly of the crank case. These air intake chambers 17 are connected via conduits 18 to respective air inlet ports 12 on exhaust pipes 2 which are in turn connected to respective cylinders. Since, in accordance with the above arrangement, only very short pipes 18 are needed on the outside of exhaust pipes 2, there is no fear of affecting the outer appearance extremely. Further, since the outer surface of outer pipes 2a are kept at a relatively low temperature, exhaust pipes 5 can be protected against discoloration and buring by heat.
