Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the gasification of the fuel mixture from a connecting path and improve combustion performance in the low load region by the structure wherein connecting paths to suction ports are provided in the suction path, and a cooling water path is formed on a connecting path.
CONSTITUTION: Spacer 14, fitted with throttle valve 15, is provided between suction path 21 and suction port 5. Below this spacer 14, cooling water path 27 is formed by two partitioning 12, 13 provided on both ends. On the outer side of partitioning plates 12, 13, there are provided No.2 connecting path 36, which is connected to suction path 21, and No.1 connecting path 31, which is connected to suction ports 5 bia branch paths 32. No.2 connecting path 36 is connected with exhaust gas return pipe 39 and idle fuel pipe 41. When the engine is idle, No.1 connecting path 31 accelerates the flow of fuel mixture from throttle valve 15 and sends it to combustion chamber 4 via branch path 32.
