The negative electrode plate 1 is coiled with the positive electrode plate through a spacer into a spiral form to form an electrode plate group. Thus, the beginning portion of coiling the negative electrode plate 1 is easier to coil even if the radius of the beginning portion is small, and also no falling of the negative electrode active material occurs even if the sintered body is cracked.
