Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the flatness of the discharge curve and the heavy-load characteristics of an organic-solvent battery, by employing nickel oxyhydroxide as a positive active material. CONSTITUTION:An organic-electrolyte battery includes a negative electrode 2 made of metal-lithium disc or the like, and a positive electrode 1 whose active material is nickel oxyhydroxide. For instance, a positive active material made of at least one of beta-nickel-oxyhydroxide and gamma-nickel-oxyhydroxide, is added with a conductive material such as graphite and a binder such as a polytetraphloroethylene to make a mixture, which is molded and used for the former positive electrode 1.
