Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the pressure acting upon partition plates at the cleaning, dipping up, etc. by forming the elastic flow transfer part provided with radial notches to the partition plates which partition aerating chambers and separating chambers.
CONSTITUTION: A flow transfer part 5 of an elastic rubber plate or the like provided with radial notches 4 is formed on a partition plate 3 which partitions an aerating chamber and separating chamber at a height about half its water level. When the water levels of the both chambers are equal, the notches 4 is closed to prevent the transfer of sludge. When the level of the separating chamber is higher than that of the aerating chamber, the notches 4 is opened to allow the waste water to transfer from the separating chamber to the aerating chamber. If there is no more pressure difference, the notches 4 resume the original closed state owing to elastic force. Hence, even if dipping-up is done from other one of the both chambers at the time of cleaning and dipping-up, a pressure difference occurs to let the waste water to transfer, thus the exertion of a high water pressure upon the partition plate 3 is obviated.
