Abstract

879,349. Gravity-separation apparatus. ZAVODY NA VYROBU VZDUCHOTECHNICKYCH ZARIZENI. Feb. 10, 1960 [Feb. 13, 1959], No. 4778/60. Class 46. The tank 1, and baffles 3 secured to collecting chambers 2 are all rectangular in plan. Liquid from a pipe 9 passes between the baffles 3 and then through apertures 5 in the collecting chambers to their interiors, and out at 6. Solids are discharged continuously at 8. The tank may be provided with a flat bottom and one inclined wall, solids being discharged discontinuously by a sludge scraper (not further described).
