Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the permeating and filtering functions of bank body for an extended period of time so as to clarify muddy stagnant water suspended inside the reclamation enclosure and discharge it to the surrounding sea, by constructing bank body wherein filtering layers and water suspended layers are arranged alternatively.
CONSTITUTION: Filtering layers 14W16 are arranged at proper intervals along the water-permeating main bank 3 in the reclamation side 12. Secondly, at each interstice between filtering layers, water suspended layers 19W21 using more porous materials at greater porosity rate than the said filtering layers are built. According to the tidal change, if the stangant water 18 within the reclamation enclosure raises its water level higher than the sea level, muddy particles in stagnant water 18 are caugth with the filtering layers 14W16 and clarified water is discharged to the surrounding sea. Reversely, if the sea level rises higher than that of the stagnant water 18 in reclamation enclosure, the caught muddy particles are released out of the filtering layers 14W16 by backflow and deposited at the bottom of the water suspended layers 19W21.
