Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the shock absorbing and buffer effect of a bearing, by fitting bearing pieces in an intermediate cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A rubber intermediate cylinder 5 has on its inner circumference dovetail grooves 7 to which bearing pieces 6 are fitted. The inner circumference of the bearing pieces 6 composes surfaces of contact 8 being in touch with the outer circumference of a shaft 1. As the shaft 1 is turned, fluid is forcibly fed on the surfaces of contact 8 due to the wedge effect and the pressure of the fluid film on the surfaces rises, which improves the PV value by raising the load carrying capacity of the bearing. Since the bearing pieces 6 are encircled by the rubber cylinder 5, they can improve the shock absorbing and buffer effect of the bearing.
