Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately measure the temperature of the tooth surface of a gear by synchronously rectifying the radiated energy detecting signal from the tooth of the gear via a synchronous signal corresponding to the tooth of the rotating gear. CONSTITUTION:Since the teeth train 1a of a rotating gear 1 consists of a tooth 1a and other portion, it is focused by a focusing lens 2, detected by a detector 3, amplified by an amplifier 4, which produces a signal output becoming alternative signal waveforms of the detecting signal corresponding to the tooth surface of the teeth train 1a,... and a zero point corresponding signal as shown on Figure a. On the other hand, the synchronous signal of a synchronous signal generator 6 becomes a pulse signal shown in Figure b corresponding to the tooth of the gear. Therefore, a synchronous rectifier circuit 5 sample-holds the detection signal shown in Figure a by the synchronous pulse signal shown in Figure b, and produces only the detection signal corresponding to the tooth 1a of the gear 1 shown in Figure c to the output terminal 7 so as to measure the temperature of the tooth 1a.
