Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the measuring time, by calculating the position of a detected point, based on the time taking from a magnetostriction oscillation to a detection coil.
CONSTITUTION: A drive coil 2X is provided at one end of a magnetostriction line 1X, and the 2nd detection coil 3b is provided at another end fixedly with an interval of L from the coil 2X. The output of a coil 3b is a count stop signal at a waveform shaping circuit 12 and applied to a counter 14. The output of a detection coil 3a in contact with a detection point (a) is a count stop signal with a wave shape circuit 13 and applied to a counter 15. The counters 14, 15 counts clocks from a clock generating circuit 17 when a count start signal is applied from a control operation circuit 16.
