Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a variation in an amount of a deflection even if a size of an ink drip is changed by a method wherein an electric signal proportional to the size of the ink drip is impressed. CONSTITUTION:When an image signal specifying a weight of an ink drip is sent to a piezo driving circuit 9 from a signal source 8, it is synchronized with a synchronizing signal from a voltage impressing means 6 and a pulse corresponding to the signal is given to a piezo oscillating element 2. Thereby, the oscillating element 2 is deformed, a pressure in an ink chamber 4 is increased and the ink drip is ejected from a nozzle 3. On the other hand, a voltage having a wave form of a same frequency as a formation of the ink drip is impressed to a charging electrode 7 by the voltage impressing means 6 while a pulse is impressed to the oscillating element 2 under being synchronized therewith. This charged ink drip 14 is deviated by a deflecting electrode 11 and is printed on a recording paper 13. In this case, the charging of the ink drip 14 is controlled so that a ratio q/m between an amount of the charging q of the ink drip 14 and the weight m thereof will become to be proportional with respect to an amount of the deflection.
