Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve not only the resolving power but also the image quality by a method wherein an acceleration electrode provided on the back side of a sheet of recording paper is changed from a bar electrode to a stylus one and the acceleration voltage is synchronized with a control voltage. CONSTITUTION:By use of the stylus electrode 10 an electric field operating between a needle electrode 3 and the stylus electrode 10 is convergent into the front end of the stylus electrode 10 and ink jet particles from an orifice 2 can be attached certainly to one point in a narrower range. Then, if the acceleration voltge 11 impressed on the stylus electrode 10 is synchronized with the control voltage (recording signal) impressed on the needle electrode 3, ink jet particles are ejected only when the recording signal is impressed. Therefore, ejection of the ink jet particles due to a noise and the like can be prevented.
