Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent outflow of sludge, etc. from a settling pool and stabilize the quality of sewage by measuring the total amt. of solid matter in an apparatus including an aeration tank and the pool and by controlling the amt. so that it may not exceed a predetermined amt.
CONSTITUTION: Measurement signals 10-1aW10-5a are outputted from measuring units 10-1W10-5 set in aeration tank 9 and settling pool 11, all of them are inputted in adder 12 to synthetically calculate the amt. of solid matter in this treating apparatus, and the resulting output signal is inputted in control circuit 13. Circuit 13 compares the preset amt. of solid matter to the inputted measured amt. to calculate the amt. of excess solid matter, and a control signal is sent to motor 14 so as to draw the excess solid matter from pool 11. According to this signal motor 14 regulates the opening of drawing valve 15 and discharges solid matter in pool 11 through pipe 11b and valve 15 for a predetermined time.
