Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to keep a sufficient amount of a precipitated sludge in a precipitation vessel, by using a returning rate correcting circuit which generates a new sludge returning rate, to return a proper amount of a sludge from the precipitation vessel to an aeration vessel, in case where a sewage in-flow amount is lower than a predetermined level.
CONSTITUTION: The turbidity of a suspended matter SO of a slowing-in sewage is measured by a turbidity meter 5. A returning sludge turbidity SR is measured by a meter 7. These turbidity values are fed to a returning rate computing circuit 8. The computing circuit 8 is also fed with an objective MLSS value SP from a sludge turbidity (MLSS) setter 9. The computing circuit 8 calculates a sludge returning rate α on the basis of these velues. On the other hand, an in-flow sewage amount QO is measured by a flow meter 4, and compared with a preset value QS by a relay control circuit 14. In case where the in-flow sewage amount QO is lower than the preset value QS, the control circuit 14 closes a relay switch 13 to a side b. Then, the sludge returning rate α calculated by the circuit 8 is fed through a returning rate correcting circuit 12 to a sludge amount computing circuit 10. Thus, the sludge returning amount is controlled.
