PURPOSE:To perform nitration by a reduced amount of sludge while eliminating the rate limit due to the insufficiency of oxygen in a nitration tank, by accurately determining the nitrating state in an aeration tank by measuring the distribution of the oxygen consumption speed in a flow-down direction and controlling the air feed amount of the aeration tank corresponding to the nitrating state.
