Abstract

PURPOSE: Conjugate fiber with high destaticizing performance that is made by conjugating a fiber-forming polymer and another polymer containing electrically conductive carbon black into multilayer structure, thus showing high duration, good chemical, wearing, washing resistance and other properties.
CONSTITUTION: (A) a fiber-forming polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate and (B) another fiber-forming polymer containing electrically conductive carbon black by 10W40, preferably 15W25wt% are melt spun into conjugate fiber with three layer structure consisting of the sheath and core of polymer A and the middle layer of polymer B. The weight ratio of A/B is 90/10W50/50, preferably 60/40W 80/20 and the discharge current is adjusted to 10-8W10-3, preferably 1.2×10-5AW -2.3×10-6. The resulting conjugate fibers are blended in an amount of 0.05W 0.5% and applied to working wear, carper, curtain and others.
