Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain effective water treatment by a method wherein an ozone concentration within an exhaust gas from a reaction tank is detected or an impurity concentration within an already treated liquid from a reaction tank is detected to change an amount of ozone supplied to a reaction tank from an ozone generator in accordance with an impurity concentration.
CONSTITUTION: Air or oxygen is passed through a drying apparatus 2 to be dried and entered into an ozone generator 3 and passed through a discharged electric field to produce an ozone gas. Moreover, the ozone is entered into a reaction tank 4 and gas-liquid contact with a liquid 1 to be treated is carried out, then, waste ozone is discharged from a top portion of a reaction tank. At the same time, an ozone concentration within waste ozone is detected at 5 and a supply amount of ozone is controlled by a control apparatus 17 so as to make waste ozone concentration constant. Moreover, the concentration of impurities (e.g. coloring component, COD) within a treated liquid 11 discharged from a reaction tank 4 is detected and, so as to make the concentration constant, an amount of ozone is changed. Thereby, the available utilization of ozone and the enhancement of reaction speed are established together and the ozone water treatment is effectively carried out.
