Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the insulation of a shunt device and to miniaturize it, by a method wherein each of the shunt, series and tap winding and LTC are divided into two portions and each divided unit is mutually disposed so that a means that shunts currents have large impedance. CONSTITUTION:An on-load tap-changing autotransformer is formed by shunt winding 10, series winding 20, tap winding 30 and LTCs 50 that change over taps. Winding 10, 20, 30 are divided into two winding units M1 and M2, H1 and H2, TW1 and TW2 which are used in parallel, each of pairs of both M1 and H1 and both M2 and H2 is connected in series and one ends of M1 and M2 are connected to a neutral point N. Tap winding units TW1 and TW2 are connected to a medium voltage terminal M through LTC 50a, 50b with small capacity which change over taps simultaneously. To eliminate the unbalance of interrupting currents due to the switching lags of taps by LTC 50a, 50b, each winding is wound around a core C and disposed up and down and symmetrically. Thus, the impedance of H1 and H2 is enlarged, the drawing of leads can be dispersed up and down, insulation is simplified, and the device can be miniaturized.
