Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the transformer capable of loaded tap switching applicable even when the insulation class of a line terminal is high, by connecting electrostatically neutral-point sides of loose and tight tap coils with each other by a capacity. CONSTITUTION:A loaded tap switching device 7 comprises a contact switch 8, a tap selector 9 and a change-over switch 10. The neutral point sides of the loose tap coil 2 and of the tight tap coils 3 are connected by the capacity 12, thus being coupled electrostatically to each other. Since thunder impulse generating voltage caused between the electrodes 11 of the change-over switch 10 connected to the above coils is reduced considerably in this way, it can be controlled to be below the dielectric strength between the electrodes 11 of the switch 10 even with the transformer whose line terminal is ranked at high insulation class. It is advisable that the capacity 12 is supported by an insulating member in the vicinity of the loaded tap switching device 7 in a tank. By this constitution, it becomes unnecessary to provide large dielectric strength between the electrodes to provide large dielectric strength between the electrodes of the change-over switch even in the transformer wherein some parts of the loose and tight tap coils are arranged in positions different in the direction of the diameter of winding thereof.
