Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize the damage to the device by providing a fusing element in a part of the circuit and by blowing the fusing element in case of interruption failure in a vacuum switch wherein the vacuum switch is provided between an odd number tap and an even number tap of a tap change-over device.
CONSTITUTION: Selective branches 2 and 3 which select even number taps and odd number taps respectively are connected to a transformer adjusting winding 1 consists of an on-load tap switching mechanism. The selective branch 2 also provides a conductor side fixed contact 6 and a resistor side fixed contact 7 which is connected in parallel with the conductor side fixed contact 6 and intervenes a current limiting resistor R1. The selective branch 3 also provides a resistor side fixed contact 9 which intervenes a current limiting resistor R2 and a conductor side fixed contact 8 which is connected in parallel with the resistor side fixed contact 9. Then, travelling contacts 10 and 11 are intervened between these contacts and vacuum switches VS1 and VS2 connected in series are provided and the middle point 12 is connected to the neutral point of the transformer.
