Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the transfer of the electrode terminals on one substrate to the other substrate sure and obtain the element of high reliability by burying conductive material in the insulation-type spacer member to be disposed between the both substrates of the EC display device and using the same.
CONSTITUTION: In the EC display device formed by combining a substrate 1 for counter electrode provided with a counter electrode 3, a substrate 2 for display electrodes provided with transparent electrodes 4 for display and EC layer 6 and an insulation-type spacer member 10 and sealing electrolyte 9 therein, the one comprising burying conductive material such as chromium-manganese alloy to provide conductive portions 12 is used as the above-mentioned member 10. Namely, a resin adhesive agent (sealing agent) 7 is coated in the specified positions of the respective substrate 1, 2 and common transfer member (e.g., silver paste) 11 is applied on the conductive portions 12 of the spacer member 10.
