Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the processing of electrodes, by locating the electrode constituents of each layer so that they are not overlapped with each other, in the multi- layer type crystal display unit for dot matrix display.
CONSTITUTION: The electrodes 7, 8 for transparent dot matrix are placed at the both sides of the substrate 4 common and transparent, and the substrates 3 and 5 transparent providing the opposing electrodes 6, 9 for dot matrix via the spacers 10, are located so that the opposing electrodes 6, 9 are not overlapped with each other. Between the said substrate 4 and the substrates 3, 5, the liquid crystals 1, 2 are sealed so that they are twisted by 90° to the two substrates clipping the liquid crystal and in parallel with each substrate. 11, 12 are polarized plates.
