Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the speed of steel plate or the like having large line fluctuations at high precision, by receiving specular reflection scattered lights of reference light and specimen light radiated to the object being measured through a long- focus convex lens by way of the same lon-focus convex lens effectively. CONSTITUTION:Specular reflection component light S' of the scattered light of the specimen light S radiated on the object being measured 5 through a long-focus condenser convex lens 4 and specular reflection component light R' of the reference light R are passed into semi-transparent mirrors 12, 11 placed on the R side and S side of the optical path and a light receiving lens 6 to be led into a photo detector 7 by way of an aperture 10. By so constituting, the respective specular reflection components of the scattered light of the R light and S light reflected by the object being measured 5 may be effectively received, so that a signal of frequency excelling in signal-to-noise ratio S/N may be obtained at the output of the photo detector 7. Hence, the speed of steep plate or the like having large fluctuations of distance and angle in the line may be measured in non-contact state and at high precision.
