Abstract
PURPOSE:To present high precision devices of Doppler effect without effects of line fluctuations, by dividing the laser beam into reference light and specimen light, radiating so that both lights intersect on the surface of the object being measured, and receiving the both reflected scattered lights on the reference axis. CONSTITUTION:A semi-transparent mirror 2 in placed on the reference axis A1, being parallel thereto, and two full reflection mirrors 3 are placed in the poisition axis-symmerical to axis A1, and the center of the intersection of reference light R and specimen light S is disposed on the axis A1 at a distance of l from the center of the two mirrors 3. A total reflection mirror 10 has its center coincided with the axis A1, and when the light R and light S are reflected by the object being measured 5, each scattered light is received by an effective aperture and is sent to a photo detector 7. By selecting the magnification (n) to magnify the laser beam of an inverted telescope 9, the intersecting angle theta of the lights R and S, central distance (a) of the mirrors 3, and the distance l from the center of the mirrors 3 to the object being measured 5, etc., a specified value of S/N of the reception signal is obtained. If the distance l varies by + or -DELTAl, the deflection + or -DELTAd of the output signal fd of the detector 7 and the S/N are at the specified values, so that the speed of steel plate or the like may be measured at high precision.
