Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a device of high precision of Doppler effect without effects of line fluctuations, by dividing the laser beam into reference light and specimen light, radiating both lines so that they intersect on the surface of the object being measured, and receving the reflected both scattered lights with each transmission optical path. CONSTITUTION:The specular reflection component of reflected scattered light S' of specimen light S radiated to the objected being measured 5 is received in a transmission optical path of the reference light R side, while the specular reflection component of reflected scattered light R' of reference light R is received in a transmission optical path of the light S side. A total reflection mirror 3, the mirror 2 and the lens 6 have large apertures so as to receive a large quantity of specular reflection components of scattered lights of light S and light R. Since the Specular reflection components of the scattered lights of the light S and light R may be effectively received, strong scattered lights excelling in S/N may be obtained in the output of the photo detector 7, so that the S/N may be reduced and improved against large line fluctuations. Hence, the speed of steel plate or the like may be measuring at high precision without making contact.
