Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize a laser output and to prolong its life by sealing a gas-pressure variation detecting filaments in a laser tube and by automatically supplying gas from a gas cylinder when detecting a decrease in gas pressure inside of the tube. CONSTITUTION:Inside of laser tube 1, filament 6 for detecting gas pressure in the tube and filament 14 for compensating the temperature inside of the sealed tube filled with gas at pressure equal to proper gas pressure inside the tube are sealed closely and power supply 9 is connected across two filaments connected in series. On the other hand, resistances 11 and 12 are connected in series and both their terminals are connected to power supply 9. Further, connection point A between filaments 6 and 14 and connection point B between resistances 11 and 12 are connected to gas supply circuit 13. When the gas pressure of laser tube 1 is adequate, difference voltage VAB between connection points A and B should be set to zero. Next, if the gas pressure of laser tube 1 decreases, the temperature of filament 6 rises and, in consequence, an increase in resistance causes a voltage difference between A and B, so that gas supply circuit 13 will supply gas from cylinder 8 by opening electromagnetic valve 7.
