Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain stable oscillation output, by starting and maintaining normal discharge in two discharge passages by controlling a trigger circuit by detecting discharge light by means of circuits mounted every discharge passage. CONSTITUTION:When electricity is first discharged between an anode 4 and a cathode 5 of a laser tube 1, the output of a photo-detector 26 rises and reaches the voltage of a reference power source 22, the output of a comparison amplifier 24 becomes positive and a diode 15 is in OFF. The input bias voltage of a detecting circuit 16 reaches the half of the voltage Ec of a reference power source 18 because each resistance 19-21 is equal, but cannot stop a trigger circuit 17. When electricity is discharged between an anode 3 and the cathode 5, light is detected 25, the output is compared 23 with the reference voltage 22, a diode 14 is in OFF, and the bias of the circuit 16 reaches the voltage Ec, thus stopping the trigger circuit 17, then resulting in the normal discharge and stability of each discharge passage. The trigger circuit is not suspended by discharge between the anodes 3, 4, and discharge is not maintained. According to this constitution, the deterioration of an electrode and the decrease and stop of oscillation output can be prevented.
