Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a laser tube from damage, causing to an overcurrent in an abnormal state, by providing a discharge current control feedback circuit with a bypass circuit for limiting a discharge current when laser light changes sharply. CONSTITUTION:When dust or the like enters into light resonators 7, 7' or a beam splitter 8 and laser light 13 decreases sharply, by photoelectric output voltage V1 of a light detector 6 falls drastically and the output voltage of a comparison amplifier 3 rises sharply. At that time, a transistor Tr2 is turned on and the discharge current of a laser tube 9 increases sharply. Since the current detection terminal voltage V2 of a resistor 18 rises due to the sharp increase in the discharge current, the difference between the voltage Vs2 of a reference power source 14 and the current detection terminal voltage V2 decreases and the output voltage of another comparison amplifier 19 drops. As a result, the output voltage of the former comparison amplifier 3 is applied to the latter 19 through a resistor 15 and diodes 16, 17, the base voltage of the transistor Tr2 falls and the discharge current of the laser tube 9 decreases. In an abnormal state as mentioned above, the difference between the voltage Vs2, V2 is amplified and then applied to the base of the transistor Tr2 and constant current control is effected to eliminate the difference.
