Abstract
PURPOSE:In a laser oscillator having the function of cooling a partly-reflector, to cool said reflector not below atmospheric temperature for preventing the dewing thereof only when laser output is taken out. CONSTITUTION:A partly-reflector 2 is encased in a holder 4 using an O-ring 7 and cooled with cooling liquid 8 let flow therein while flow rate is adjusted with a solenoid valve 13. Further, a laser medium 1 is placed between said reflector 2 and the total internal reflector 3 encased in a hloder 5 using said O-ring 7, and laser output is taken out from the end surface of said reflector 2 in arrow 6 direction. Discharge current is supplied to said medium 1 from a power source 10 through an electrode 9. At this time, a discharge current detecting ammeter 11 and a current comparing circuit 12 are provided in circuit, and a solenoid valve 13 is set in operation to make liquid 8 flow only when the value of said ammeter 11 is above threshold value. Thereby, the cooling of said reflector 2 below atmospheric temperature and the failure of said reflector 2 can be prevented.
