Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in characteristics through inhibiting fusion of a conductor lead by automatically controlling operation of the valve arranged on conductor lead and cooling pipe. CONSTITUTION:An arrangement of temperature sensors 10, 11 for a conductor lead 4 to feed current to superconductive coil 3 and a heater 13 for vessel 2 containing a liquid refrigerant 1 is effective to a full automatic control operation such that: when a current is allowed through a conductor lead 4, for example, output of temperature sensors 10, 11 detects temperature of the conductor lead 4 coming over a certain value T1 to open a valve 8 for the conductor lead 4, thus allowing an evaporation gas through to cool down the conductor lead 4; where the temperature further rises to come at T2 from T1, a valve 9 for cooling pipe 7 is closed and a heater 13 is conducting to evaporate the liquid refrigerant forcedly, thus allowing a volume of evaporation gas into the conductor lead 4. A fusion of the conductor lead can securely be prevented to keep characteristics from deteriorating.
