Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a heat cycle test under a severe condition, by utilizing three or more different kinds of cooling media.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature of a heat transfer member 2 is cyclically changed to -100°C and +100°C. To keep the temperature of the member 2 at the low level -100°C, a prescribed flow rate of low-temperature nitrogen gas is caused to flow through a pipe 5 while a gas pump 15 is controlled. At that time, an electrical current flowing through a heater (pipe 3) is controlled by an electrical current regulator 9. To raise the temperature of the member 2 to the high level +100°C, the gas pump 15 is stopped to halt the flow of the low-temperature nitrogen gas and the member 2 is heated by the heater (pipe 3). When the temperature of the member 2 is reduced, liquefied nitrogen is introduced into a pipe 4 through a remote control valve 12 and the low-temperature nitrogen gas is introduced into the pipe 5 by driving the gas pump 15 to quickly cool the heat transfor member 2. The temperature of the member is thus cyclically changed to conduct the heat cycle test of a test piece 7.
