Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the surface of an optical part due to attachment of water droplets by isolating a cooling system of the optical part from other systems and controlling the temperature of coolant to a temperature higher than the dew point only for the optical part system. CONSTITUTION:A coolant circulating system is isolated into an optical part cooling system 141 and other cooling system 142 than the system 141. Since the quantity of heat of the optical part system is less than that of the other part, most coolant flows through the system except the optical parts while at low temperature. The coolant flowed into the system 141 is always controlled to a temperature higher than the dew point in accordance with the environmental conditions at that time and is thus introduced from the inlets 22, 32 of the optical part cooling plates 21, 31 respectively into the cooling plates 21, 31. Since the optical parts are not accordingly dewed, stable laser output can be obtained from the time of starting the oscillation.
