CONSTITUTION: The inside of a cylinder of cast Al alloy is finished by fine boring and subjected to double chemical etching and double zincating as pretreatment. After forming a thin Cr plated layer, the inverse current is supplied to strip the layer, providing unevenness of a complex Rias coast-like section to the base metal surface. The above pretreatment is carried out again, and regular Cr plated layer 2' is formed on Al alloy layer 1'. Thus, the unevenness is filled with the Cr plated layer, and a strong anchoring effect is produced, thereby resulting in high adherence.
