Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase production efficiency and achieve the increase in production volume and the reduction in production cost by overlapping and securing two sheets of electrode substrate blanks having electrodes opposing to plural cells and dividing to a plurality of cells along the scribe lines formed in the blanks.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes are formed on the bottom surface of one electrode substrate blank 1 which are continuously arrayed with electrode substrates 1a thru 1f constituting respective cells in correspondence to 6 sets of liquid crystal display cells and scribe lines 3 are formed on the top surface thereof. Electrodes and scribe lines 4 are formed on the top surface of the other electrode substrate blank 2 arrayed with electrode substrates 2a thru 2f in opposition to the substrates 1a thru 1f of the blank 1. A sealing material 5 is further coated on the top surface of the blank 2 and a liquid crystal injection port 6 is formed for each cell. The blanks 1, 2 are superposed, baked and secured by way of the sealing material 5, after which the blanks 1, 2 are divided to each cell along their scribe lines 3, 4, whereby 6 sets of the cells are obtained.
