Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the yield of cutting work, save consumables such as glass, diamond dlades, etc. and achieve considerable cost reduction by alternately arraying display electrodes and common electrodes to substrates of a multiple production method. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 13, 14 are alternately arrayed to one substrate 11, like display pattern electrode 13, common pattern electrode 14, electrode 13, electrode 14. Electrodes 14, 13... are arrayed to another substrate 12, in the patterns reciprocal to those of the substrate 11. After these substrates 11, 12 are assembled, the cutting positions (a) thru (c) of the substrate 11 and the cutting positions (alpha) thru (f) of the substrate 12 are cut by diamond wheels. Thereby, the substrate materials are perfectly utilized. If the diamond blades are set 3 pieces at the positions (a) thru (c) first, then they match the positions (f) thru (d) by turning over the upper and lower substrates, thus both upper and lower substrates are cut by one setting.
