Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of electrode drawing wires, by dividing the connection terminals of the segment electrode and opposing electrode placed two stages of up and down into a plurality of groups, and drawing the connection terminals of the both electrodes toward the same direction through the connection of the same kind or different kind of segments.

CONSTITUTION: The segment electrodes a to h placed at two stages of up and down are formed by placing the transparent metal thin film on the surface of the glass substrate every digit of up and down. The terminals of each electrode are drawn out by dividing into a plurality of groups for common to the upper and lower stages, for example 4 groups. The four groups are named as the group A for the upper stage b, c, h and the lower stage h, group B for the upper stage g, d and lower stage a, b, group D for the upper stage a, f and lower stage e, d, and group C for the upper stage e and lower stage f, g, c. Further, the connection terminals for the electrodes a to h opposing to the segment electrodes mentioned above are drawn out by being divided into the four groups H₁ to H₄ in common use for the upper and lower stages. Thus, the connection of the segment electrodes and opposing electrodes mentioned above are not crossed. Further, the connection is not passed through segments.
