Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible injection of liquid-form material to all cells at one time and improve cell form and improve production efficiency by providing lead-in paths in the arraying direction of the cells and forming the injection ports of the respective cells on the lead-in path side.
CONSTITUTION: Portions 1a thru 1c, 1g thru 1i, 2d thru 2f, 2j thru 2l which respectively become segment electrode substrates and portions 1d thru 1f, 1j thru 1l; 2a thru 2c, 2g thru 2i which become common electrode substrates and formed in electrode substrate blanks 1, 2 at the time of producing the liquid crystal display cells or the like. Inscribing lines 5, 6 are respectively formed on the top surfaces of the blanks 1, 2. Next, sealing material 7 such as epoxy resin or the like are printed by a printing method or the like on the electrode forming surface of the blank 2. At this time, liquid crystal lead-in paths 8, 9 and liquid crystal lead-in ports 8a, 9a; or liquid crystal injection ports 10..., 11... are formed. Next, the blanks 1, 2 are superposed with their respective electrode forming surfaces being opposedly disposed, after which the assembly is heated and fired, and is cracked along the inscribing lines 5, 6.
