Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature and thin vibrator with a circuit mounting system simplified by using an oscillating reed whose plane area is smaller than those of upper and lower cases. CONSTITUTION:Crystal oscillating reed 22, formed in one together with the frame smaller than upper case 20 and lower case 21 in terms of plane, is supported be- tween upper case 20 and lower case 21, which are hermetically sealed under vacuum by a connection material. At this time, metal films 24 and 25 for leading out external electrodes are previously provided to the sealing surface between upper case 20 and lower case 21, and electrodes 26 and 27 are to the top and reverse surfaces of the frame part of oscillator reed 22 formed in one with the frame, and then connected togegher at the same time as airtight sealing. Since the thickness of the oscillating reed formed in one with the frame is absorbed by the substrate at the time of mounting on the circuit plate, a thin vibrator can be realized and an oscillator circuit can be miniaturized.
