Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the amount of heat radiation from a furnace wall and improve the save-energy efficiency by setting gas passages on an inside furnace wall of a drying furnace and by discharging furnace exhaust gas once through the gas passages.
CONSTITUTION: High temperature combustion gas from a combustion burner 1 is fed through a duct 4 to furnace ducts 6, 6' through ducts 4a, 4b. Combustion gas is blown around a car body 19 through nozzles of blow ducts 8, 8' and is discharged as exhaust gas into an exhaust duct 11 through a plate 9 with exhaust holes. Exhaust gas from the exhaust duct 11 is separated into ducts 11a, 11b to be re- cycled into passages 13, 13' in the furnace 5. Hot air flows into passages 14, 14' to be discharged outside through ducts 15, 15'. Thus, the exhaust gas is re-cycled in the walls, the heat radiation loss is decreased, and the save-energy efficiency is improved.
