Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the best use of heat of exhaust gas, by controlling the loss of gas heat inside a furnace through its walls and recovering the heat through water heated by the exhaust circulating in the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion gas is sent from a duct 10 to ducts 14, 14' in the furnace and blasted from the tips of ducts 15, 15' toward around vehicle bodies 27. After drying the coated surface of the bodies, the gas is introduced through a perforated plate 16 to an exhaust duct 18. The exhaust gas is divided to ducts 18a 18b and recirculated to gas passages 20, 20' in the furnace 12, which inhibits the heat loss outside the furnace. The exhaust gas further flows in gas passages 19, 19' to heat water in water pipes 21, 21' inserted in the gas passages 19, 19' and discharged outside through exhaust ducts 23, 23'.
