Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress generation of NOX, and to efficiently burn fuel which is hard to burn, by reducing the areas of three openings which respectively communicate to combustion chambers. CONSTITUTION:The area of a communicating opening 7 between a primary combustion chamber 5 and a secondary combustion chamber 6 is gradually decreased as it approaches the secondary combustion chamber 6, so that highly heated combustion gas in the primary combustion chamber 5 can flow briskly into the secondary combustion chamber 6, and molten slag can be led to an outlet port 13 smoothly. Besides protruded parts 10 and 11 are provided on the walls of a part which communicates the secondary combustion chamber 6 to a tertiary combustion chamber 8 so that the area of a communicating opening 9 is decreased. By this arrangement, heat transfer by radiation from the secondary combustion chamber 6 to the tertiary combustion chamber 8 is suppressed, and combustion gas at low temperature from the tertiary combustion chamber 8 is suppressed from circulating into the secondary combustion chamber 6. In such a manner the temperature needed for fluidizing of molten slag is kept in the secondary combustion chamber 6.
