Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure continuation of the operation even through the multiple-system computer has some partial trouble, by providing the memories featuring comparatively small capacity for the program, data and control purposes into the arithmetic memory and then drawing in the program piece from the main memory.
CONSTITUTION: Arithmetic memories IWV are connected to main memory 6. Memory I consists of program memory 11p, data memory 11d and cntrol memory 11c respectively which feature comparatively small capacity. Memories IIWV feature the similar constitution. These memories are independent to each other with the equvalent significance. The program to be processed within the computer is diviced into the fundamental program pieces via the program divider and then loaded based on the order of execution. These divided program pieces are processed in sequence through memories IWV based on the process order. Each arithmetic memory registers the state of its own into the register and also monitors the arithmetic memory to be actuated next. When some trouble is detected, the process of the faulty memory can be continued by the arithmeric memory which was so far in the discontinuation state, thus ensuring a high-reliability process system
