Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic compound capable of low temperature sintering, having high dielectric constant and excellent dielectric loss and dielectric strength, by adding specific amount of MnO into a compound containing specific amount of PbO, Fe2O3, Nb2O5, MgO.
CONSTITUTION: 0.001-l.0% of MnO is added into a compound containing 67.99- 68.58 wt% of PbO, 0.61-8.51 wt% of Fe2O3, 22.27-26.89 wt% of Nb2O5 and 1.23- 3.92 wt% of MgO. For example, material compound having saide composition is wet mixed and temporarily burnt for 2 hours under the temperature of 700-850lC to perform chemical action then crushed again. Then proper amount of binder (PVA) is added and formed into a disc under approximately 3 ton/cm2 pressure, then enclosed in a magnesia ceramic container and burnt for 2 hours under 850- 950°C to produce high dielectric constant ceramic body of Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3-Pb(Mg1/3 Nb2/3)O3-Mn.
