PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic composition which can be baked at lower temperatures and has stable temperature characteristics by adding Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3 to a compound composed of PbO, Fe2O3, Nb2O5, MgO, Ta2O5, and NiO as the main components.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic composition which is obtained by adding 0.05 to 5 wt% Pb(Mn1/3Mb2/3)O3 to 100 wt% a compound composed of 60.71 to 67.16 wt% PbO, 3.26 to 11.41 wt% Fe2O3, 5.42 to 19 wt% Nb2O5, 0 to 2.56 wt% MgO, 22.2 to 28.05 wt% Ta2O5, and 0 to 2.8 wt% NiO. The ceramic composition, obtained by compounding oxides as raw materials in a proportion to meet the aforesaid composition, can be sintered at a low temperature region from 800 to 1000°C to give a Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3-Pb(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Ta2/3)O3- Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3 high-dielectric ceramic composition having a high dielectric constant and good insulation resistance.
