Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize temperature characteristics and also permit baking at low temperatures by adding MnO as subsidiary component to a compound containing PbO, Fe2O3, Nb2O5, and NiO as the main components.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic composition which is obtained by adding 0.001 to 1 wt% MnO as the subsidiary component to 100 wt % a compound composed of 66.57 wt% PbO, 2.38 to 10.92 wt% Fe2O3, 20.5 to 25.11 wt% Nb2O5, and 0.96 to 5.94 wt% NiO as the main components. The ceramic composition can be sintered in a low temperature region from 800 to 1000°C to give a Pd(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3- Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-MnO high-dielectric ceramic composition having high dielectric constant and good dielectric loss and insulation resistance.
